I was curious to what would those two things be but as youunveiled them I remember conversation with propsects in the past days and how they asked me for example of other clients I had helped.
Me being able to give several examples with confidence and ease made a great impact on them and now I know why :) They had seen my website and other material I give away as well so I am glad to know I have these two things to rely on to win over new clients prospective clients !
LOVE this Christian! I never look at PhD’s and how many years in the business, I listen to what others promise will happen in my life. Thank you for such a great posting!
You have really cut through a lot of misconceptions in this great little video, Christian. Over and over online marketing experts say we have to write the book first, and that means we need the education and the skils to write it, before we will have the authority to attract clients. Your simple chart is fixed in my mind now and I’ll be sharing it with others. Thanks! Happy Thanksgving to you and your family!
Hi Chris!
It is excellent, I absolutely loved it.
Definitely agree.I wish you would build up an online marketing university and teach 1000 of people globally!
Those simple strategies will get you there and us as well!
I must add to it,I also find creating exclusivity helps.
(I have a Pilates studio). If people can not get into the classes, ohh boy, they do anything to get in and will pay more.
Also, which is new to me, I am seeing how ‘positively’ they react to the celebrity factor.I guess those are all old tricks, but if you want to explain to me -us what it really us, bring it on!
This video reminded me of how we evaluate people in general: it’s instinctive. If someone has substance, and are authentic (ie: value) we trust them and will engage with them. If they are packaged in a certain way, that might fool some, but only for so long. It’s all about value. Thanks for the reminder Christian!
Good information on the video. I think you’re on target with what brings credibility. After all, it doesn’t matter if someone is educated or has written a book if they can’t help you.
I think it’s also important to put yourself out there as someone who can help people. I get the sense that a lot of people hesitate because they don’t have the items that are lower on your list. If they’d take a chance, they’d often find out that they can connect with people and give them what they need.
We do seem to be our own worst enemy when it comes
to getting out there and getting people help. It is so
true what you said “If they’d take a chance, they’d often find out that they can connect with people and give them what they need”
Hey Christian,
Reminds me once again about the importance of 2 essential elements..connection and relationship….which come from giving value…also about the Power of Influence principles..thx, mate.
This is so eye opening! Thank you for sharing this because I believe some of us do get all caught up in, “Am I good enough, or an expert enough, to help someone else?”
In having worked in the healthcare field for the past 23 years, I have worked with many folks with various ‘letters’ behind their name. Therefore in the early days of marketing my product in the ‘health and wellness’ niche, I was getting hung up on having credibility and in being an ‘expert’.
I am ‘somewhat’ past that feeling now, but can certainly relate to what you are talking about. For example, after my wife left our marraige a number of years ago and I was in need of a lawyer/coach, the following advertisement in the yellow pages would have resonated with me more than the others…
“I help middle aged men with young children (7 week old and 4 year old) put their lives back together after their wife has decided that she is a lesbian.”(and leaves the marraige with the downstairs tenant).
Okay…it might have been a bit of a stretch to find a lawyer with a similar ‘story’ but for me…someone that could emapathize vs. sympathize had far more credibility and their years of experience, or the number of letters after their name…just didn’t matter.
Great lesson for the New coaches of the world. Everyone has to start somewhere and you always provide the highest quality training to all of your
followers. Thanks so much Christian!

“He doesn’t know what I go through” is the #1 objection I have when I’m considering advice from someone, friend or professional.
Thanks for letting me know this is the main way I can build credibility.

Your welcome Hashim,
I think everyone has that objection at first, gaining
credibility will get you where you need to go. :)

Exclusivity does seem to motivate people to
respond quickly – excellent point!

That is so true Fran. If what a person says does not
ring true how can anyone find value in that? Great point!

Exactly Terry – you have to make that initial connection which gets you the relationship :)
Thanks for making that point!

This is so eye opening! Thank you for sharing this because I believe some of us do get all caught up in, “Am I good enough, or an expert enough, to help someone else?”
This takes the edge off of that mindset!

Your welcome Eldridge,
Too many people get hung up on that “am I expert enough” mindset, glad it helped :)
